Carpe Diem’s Tan Renga Challenge #12, Southard’s “the swing of the gate”.
Just yesterday I wrote my first Haiku & today my friend Bjorn introduced me this incredible blog http://chevrefeuillescarpediem.blogspot.in/.And here I am trying out my first challenge,hoping not to make a fool of myself.Thank you for the tip Chèvrefeuille,I used the Haiku syllable counter 🙂
Here is the haiku by Southard which is the first stanza of this weeks Tan Renga:
Just the cellarpit;
only the catbird recalls
the swing of the gate.
The goal of this Tan Renga Challenge is to write the second stanza (7-7) by associating on the first stanza.
Just the cellarpit;
only the catbird recalls
the swing of the gate (Southard)
the chatter,laughter gone now
Hello! Whom to mimic now? (Atreyee)

I like the way how you’ve completed the Tan Renga and that syllable counter well it’s really a joy to use it. English isn’t my mother tongue so I am not so familiar with the syllables-rules.
Oh thank you so much-your words mean so much to me!I am from India & English is not my native language too-so that tip helped me to complete the challenges with more confidence than I would have otherwise had 🙂
i love the lightness and fun play in your haiku words. enjoyable. ☺
Thank you so much 🙂
