Carpe Diem’s Tan Renga challenge

Carpe Diem’s Tan Renga Challenge #13, “just a kiss” by Wabi

A Tan Renga has two stanzas, the first has 5-7-5 syllables and the second stanza has 7-7 syllables. It looks similar to the Tanka, the only difference is that a Tanka is written by one poet and the Tan Renga is written by two poets. (The Tan Renga is a short chained verse, as the Renga is a long chained verse.) This Tan Renga Challenge is a weekly event at Carpe Diem and this week the first stanza of the Tan Renga is by WabiSabi one of the contributors to the daily haiku meme at Carpe Diem.

First stanza (5-7-5)

at sunrise –
no words between lovers
just a kiss                                                               ( Wabi Sabi )

Second stanza (7-7)

passion ignited,waiting
impatiently for sunset                                        (Atreyee)

    • Aww Steph, thank you so much for the encouragement-glad to be here but as I was just lamenting to Bjorn,am not getting enough time to catch up with commenting and liking the haikus posted on CD-just finished liking and commenting most of the entries on Trifecta-now catching up with the responses and comments on my page-sigh!No idea how people do so much writing and reading!

    • Oh,am overwhelmed -thank you for the beautiful compliment Bjorn:-)Just finished reading and commenting on most of the Trifecta entries-catching up with comments on my pg and then will head to CD-haven’t had the time to read or comment on any since the last two days-today I will do that first, only then attempt to write-I feel terribly guilty!
