Carpe Diem #472, Worship (Hindu Mythology)

At Carpe Diem Haiku Kai, our gracious host Kristjaan  has shared with us a wonderful story about Lord Krishna  and his devotee ,Uttanga. If you are interested in reading the story please visit this url

The challenge is to write a  Haiku, senryu, tanka, kyoka or haibun inspiured by this story. I chose  a  tanka (5-7-5-7-7) and managed to write two.Hope you will enjoy reading them:-)

Krishna plays his flute
the message of love comes
floating in the wind
therein lies true devotion.

Like Uttanga don’t
let appearances fool you
Krishna’s blessings are
reserved for the pure of heart
those who can love one and all.
