Carpe Diem “Distillation” #3 Paradise Lost by John Milton

The goal is to distil a haiku from this part of the classical poem,” Paradise Lost” by John Milton.


As when the Sun, new risen,
Looks through the horizontal misty air,
Shorn of his beams, or from behind the Moon,
In dim eclipse, disastrous twilight sheds
On half the nations, and with fear of change
perplexes monarchs.


Here is my attempt at distillation-


While Sun cowers
behind the Moon,
fear dances naked

      • No,we don’t have many of these-only 3-4- cos these are community festivals-though we do have a lot of private ones:-)Ha!ha!Am not good enough to be able to suggest prompts for CD on this but will definitely give it a thought and let you know if something occurs to me Kristjaan 🙂 Thank you for the lovely wishes and apologies for the delayed response:-)
